Dr. Jasper, or “Dr. J”, has been a registered naturopathic doctor in Manitoba for over 20 years. Her areas
of focus include Women's Health and Digestive Health, although she prides herself on supporting a wide
variety of health issues in all people of all ages and backgrounds. She often refers to herself as a “health
detective” and doesn't shy away from a challenging case where other practitioners have struggled. She is
happy to work with other health care providers, as part of a team, and always shows up to advocate for
her patient's best interests. She is an advanced Bowen therapist (a gentle, hands-on soft tissue therapy),
and one of very few in the province. She is trained in nutrition, acupuncture, homeopathy, and botanical
medicine. Dr. Jasper is a science-based practitioner, and uses physical examination, laboratory testing,
and interview as part of her detailed assessment. Personalized health programs are created for patients,
including details on how to safely navigate the plethora of supplements that are out in stores and online.
Dr. Jasper has served on the Manitoba Naturopathic Association board of directors, written articles in
various health publications, given public health talks, and is one of the founders of the Manitoba Alliance
of Naturopathic Doctors (est. 2018). Dr. J loves to learn and is no stranger to continuing her education in
naturopathic medicine. In her personal life, Dr. J has a husband, child, and step-child, and resides in St.
Vital, where she can frequently be seen wandering in St. Vital Park. Her hobbies include all things musicrelated (she used to be a DJ!), art, nature, mushroom foraging, and the horror/thriller movie genre!
